ACRYLIC PAINTING with Julie Oliver

Julie: Within this class, I’ll take the opportunity to share the skills I’ve gathered over more than 30 years of painting and selling. I am primarily a commission-based painter where top results are expected time after time. This has taught me to continue learning to see what I can come up with. About 6 years ago I transitioned from oils to acrylics. The process was daunting but with perseverance and pushing boundaries, working with acrylics continues to impress me. Within this class, I will share much of what I have learnt. Some topics we will cover are; colour management, brush techniques and acrylic mediums. There are a confusing number of colours and mediums available. I am here to break it down for you.

What we will supply:

Acrylic Colours which Julie likes to use, some acrylic painting paper, some brushes will also be available.

Please bring with you:

A fine mist spray bottle, a palette with small and large mixing areas (plastic ones from hobby stores ok), a jar or container for water, cotton rags plus tissues. If you have acrylic paper eg Pads of Acid Free 360 gsms, acrylic paints and brushes, please bring them along. Julie will advise on what is good to use.
